HS-CMC Wokha village awareness programme

 Awareness programme on “ANC/PNC & Child Care” under the Nagaland Health Project Fund (NHPF) was organised by Wokha village health sub-centre management committee (HS-CMC) on May 20 at health sub-center, Wokha village. 

A press release from HS-CMC chairman, Mhonchumo Erui and secretary pharmacist, Yanpemo Tungoe stated that, Renjano Humtsoe (ANM and FHW Governor Medal Award-2013) was the resource person. 

Renjano in her speech highlighted the importance of ANC in every pregnancy and PNC check-ups after delivery. She espoused that every pregnant woman needed to get registered at health facility centre for improving mother’s health. 

She also spoke on sanitation, safe clean water supply, proper sewage and waste disposal facilities, with most people defecating in open have been increasingly creating condition where infectious diseases like dengue, malaria etc led to an uninhabitable atmosphere.

Altogether 62 women including pregnant women and their husbands attended the programme, chaired by Zuchanbemo Wokha Village Council secretary. The programme concluded with monthly immunization routine.
