
Government Hindi Institute (GHI) Dimapur held a welcome service for its new principal, B.P Philip on August 26 at GHI premises.
A press release from GHI Dimapur Hindi instructor, Y.P Singh stated that, while expressing his concern for Hindi education in the state and particularly for the GHI Dimapur, the new principal assured that, every possible ways and means will be made known to the concerned authority. He hoped that it will result in changes in its infrastructure as well as academic standard as per the national norms and policies of the government. He requested the institute family to have competitive spirit to achieve the goal and produce qualified and dedicated teaching man power in the state to mould new generation.
Earlier, on behalf of the students’ body, Sangtsoi, teaching faculty, A.S Yarthotngam & Y.P Singh, ministerial staff Hekuto and ANHTU president Rometo Sema, all expressed that, GHI was the only Institute which provided professional training to produce qualified Hindi teachers for the state. However, they pointed out that even after completion of 50 years every developmental activity including academic standard is far behind. In this regard, they had requested the principal to put forward the basic need of the institute with his long time experiences.
