Arju Autumn Fest Tuli, 2019 concludes

 A two-day first ever Arju Autumn Fest Tuli 2019, heldfrom October 10 successfully concluded on Friday. The Fest is a concept and creation of Director of Community Educational Centre Society (CECS), Subonenba Longkumer, organized under the banner Arju Autumn Fest CECS. 

The purpose of the Arju festival is to give a platform for the local talents, and to encourage them to perform and take pride in participation and push them to the next level. 

Advisor Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), Theja Meru, who graced the final night of the event emphasized on the importance of promoting music and art in Nagaland and the effort put up by the state government to tap the talents of youth and artists in Nagaland and promoting them. The state government through TaFMa continues to promote and expose artists in near and abroad. Meru congratulated the event organizers and visitors and wished for more success of the Arju Autumn Fest Tuli in the years ahead.

The activity of the Arju Autumn Fest was an amalgamation of sports and music and traditional sports. Volley ball competition was the main sport that was played where various youth clubs; local and from afar came to compete. Traditional sports included bamboo pole climbing, traditional go-karting, log cutting, winnowing, bamboo mat weaving, catapult shooting and spinning top, spear throwing, pig chasing, and firewood carrying and fire making  were the few among them. Recreational boating, zip lining, ATV rides were the popular ones among them. 

Besides these outdoor games, indoors like VR (Virtual Reality), carom and dart throwing and various recreational games were opened at different stalls. The aroma from the live kitchen and the variety of foods in the stall also added taste to the fest from the fresh bakes to the grills, cold to hot beverages, traditional cuisine to fast food.

At the night music carnival, 7 bands came to battle to be crowned champion in the battle of bands, each bands performed 2 set of rounds, the preliminary round and the final round. The band presented 5 songs in total 2 of which were in a preliminary round: an original and a cover and in the final round 3 songs were performed. 

The Paradigm from Dimapur won the Battle of Bands and walked away with a cash prize and a record deal with Media 24 Studio.

To give an extra taste of fun Raffle draw for Royal Enfield was drawn towards the end of the function on the final night.

The Arju Autumn Fest concluded on a high spirit attracting around 2000 visitors during the two days event.
