May 10, 2020 | by admin

Drawing attention to reports of a few schools issuing notifications on resuming classes in a phased manner, principal director School Education, Shanavas C has warned schools of strict disciplinary action against violators as per provisions of law.

According to DIPR, Shanavas stated that such notification was in violation of the lockdown order issued by the government and would be prohibited. He also directed all parents and guardians not to send their children to schools until official orders for reopening of schools were issued by the competent authority.

Earlier, chief secretary Temjen Toy had informed that all educational institutions in the State will continue to remain shut till further notice.

Temjen Toy said the government was not ready to reopen schools and colleges immediately.
