An overeager intending candidate of the ruling NDPP, has been ticked off by the party’s Mokokchung region for jumping the gun in publishing his biography under the party’s letter head to declare his candidature for the bypoll to the 26 Aonglenden assembly seat.
President NDPP Mokokchung region N.Bendang Jamir , in a statement , drew attention to the publication of biography in social media by Lipokzulu and misusing the party’s letter head.
Bendang said the NDPP Mokokchung disapproved of “such irresponsible act” by a senior party leader and appealed to all party rank and file not to be misled by such an unauthorised publication.
Further NDPP Mokokchung reaffirmed that it will abide by the decision of the Central party office over the issue of allotment of party ticket for the bypoll.
Meanwhile, Lipokzulu has been removed as the in-charge of the party’s 26 Assembly constituency as disciplinary action.
