Mangmetong Senso Telongjem Dimapur (MSTD) through its president A. Mayang Imchen and general secretary Watimongba Pongen have strongly condemned the attempted murder of one Aremchang Imchen s/o Shri Imnakaba Imchen, a bonafide citizen of the Telongjem allegedly by one Kevechulo Koza and Keneilekuo Zumu on October 13, 2021.
MSTD said that when Naga society had been striving for peace and unity as one family, the murderous and inhuman act of the accused has no place in the Naga society.
The barbaric act of the accused against the victim deserve for deterrent punishment as per the provisions of the law, MSTD stated.
MSTD while expressing gratitude to Dimapur police under the dynamic control of Commissioner of Police for arresting the accused, urged the police authority to book the accused under appropriate section of law and to investigate expeditiously for the interest of justice.
MSTD further urged the court to take cognizance of the crime committed by the accused and award befitting punishment as per the seriousness of the offence committed by the accused for the interest of justice.
