GPRN/NSCN leaders from various regions have resolved to fully support the collective leadership of ‘maj. gen.’ (Retd) RM Lotha GPRN president, Chennyeim Konyak vice president, ato kilonser N. Kitovi Zhimomi and deputy ato kilonser Jungshiwati Ao.
In a press note, the MIP said this was resolved by leaders from all Naga regions on the occasion of the 78th Naga Independence Day on August 14, 2024. The following officials from the regions include– Seyei Angami (RAO Angami Region), Wapang Ao (Supervisor Ao Region), Mongnei Konyak (RAO Konyak Region), Lulin (Supervisor Kuki Region), Heto Kiba (RAO Sumi Region), Pulang (RAO Khiamniungan), Renben Lotha (RAO Lotha Region), Kuhoto (RAO N.S.S.R), Hamnyei Phom (RAO Phom Region), Khaseo Sangtam (Supervisor Sangtam Region),
Hevito Yepthomi (Chairman UT-1) and Kiumusu (RAO Yimkhiung Region). MIP said that the region officials resolved to stand unequivocally with the collective leaders and pledged to uphold the ‘Agreed Position’ signed on November 17, 2017 between Government of India and WC, NNPGs. They also resolved to actively strive towards nurturing peace and harmony and secure a brighter future for the upcoming young Naga generation.
