Reacting against the representation of NPF Central Youth Wing to the commissioner and secretary Health and Family Welfare to terminate all appointments made without the approval of the government from November 1, 2015- April 30 2016, BJP Mandal Pughoboto stated that NPF central youth wing should come out clear by applying the same yardstick in other department as well.
In a statement, its president Jevito Achumi and press secretary Jevishe Y.Assumi appreciated NPF central youth wing for its initiative to curb the practice of backdoor appointments which was a trend in almost all the government department that needs the intervention from all section of the society. However it said they were astonished and doubted as to why the NPF central youth wing has sought termination only for those appointment made during November 1, 2015-April 30, 2016.
The BJP Mandal Pughoboto asked whether it was their personal vested interested or was there some pressurizing force behind them with ulterior motives, which compelled them to sought action only for the particular period of time and against one department.
It stated that whatever may be the case, it was believed that any organization while taking any steps to check corruption should be done without biasness and partiality yet it said the action of the NPF central Youth wing has created apprehensions in the minds of the people as their target was very specific.
Thereby, the BJP Mandal Pughoboto said it was felt necessary that the NPF central Youth wing should come out clearly and make known to the people, if they are applying same yardstick in other department as well, so that it would help to clear the doubts in the minds of the people. Otherwise, it said in the guise of justice, if only certain sections of people are being victimized, it would create more divisions and misunderstandings amongst the people.
