A massive landslide occured at Longleng Hq. cutting off the main road to DC Longleng official residence and the connecting road to Tuensang on July 25.
The landslide triggered by the incessant rain, blocked two main roads; one leading to DC Longleng official residence, SP Office Longleng and Assam Rifles Camp Longleng, and the second one leading to Tuensang, villages under Sakshi EAC Circle, and some villages under Longleng sadar.
Several officers led by the deputy commissioner, CK Nihekhu Sema, and NGOs of the district visited the site and all efforts are being made to clear the roads. However, due to the large scale damages coupled with the difficult terrain, the district administration are left unable to clear the roads.
