A major landslide caused by heavy rains on June 19 night at Dzüdza (road via Mezoma village area) along NH-29, resulted in heavy traffic jam on Monday.Kohima Traffic police sources said around 100 feet stretch of earth was brought down by the landslide, below the highway.
A truck which broke down at the site added more woes for the traffic personnel to clear the jam. It took several hours to ease the traffic snarl, after authorities later brought in excavators to clear the debris.
