The 11th session of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Nagaland state council was held on July 16, at Symbios Creations, IT Complex, Dimapur under the chairmanship of Thungbemo Murry, managing director, Computech mobile shed, Dimapur.
The members present deliberated on the activities of CII and related matters pertaining to the welfare of entrepreneurs in the state and resolved that;
Considering the utmost importance towards economic development in the state and to pave the way for the first generation entrepreneurs in the state, CII Nagaland state council made a fervent appeal to the state government to extend the ‘Year of Entrepreneurs’ for another year
Chairman, CII Nagaland State Council, Dr. Aotoshi and head of CII Nagaland branch Chuba Ozukum, in a press note revealed CII would further pursue and request the state government to include its members in the state level screening/interview board while selecting entrepreneurs for financial loans or assistance.
The CII’s committee on entrepreneurs development led by MB Longkumer shall meet the nodal department on ‘Year of Entrepreneurs’ for necessary discussion and approach the state government under what capacity CII can contribute.
In this regard, the committee would bring out befitting programmes and activities before August 31, 2011 which would be beneficial for the entrepreneurs
CII Nagaland state council to recognize success story of upcoming genuine entrepreneurs has set up a committee to bring out modalities; Chenithung Yanthan (convener), Ajay Sethi, Kiyehoto Sumi, and pursue with the state government to sponsor needy students to study under NIIT Dimapur
In this connection, CII in partnership with NIIT Dimapur would be organizing a “Job Fair” at Dimapur on July 23, besides organizing a “Fashion Extravaganza” in partnership with Women ITI at Dimapur tentatively on July 22.
CII Nagaland state council has meanwhile, reaffirmed to upgrade Zunheboto and Phek ITI’s under Hokhuli, Faith Hospital and Neichute Doulo, Entrepreneurs Associates respectively as the chairman of institute management committee.
Members of the CII Nagaland state council has also appealed to all the Naga national groups to be rational and compassionate while imposing tax upon the business community.
Managing Director of Window Media, Dr. Aotoshi, has been unanimously nominated as the chairman of CII Nagaland State Council for the year 2011-2012
The CII Nagaland state council has extended its appreciation to LM Jamir, managing director, Symbios Creations for hoisting the session.
As per applications received, the following firms were inducted to the CII state council as CII members- Neichute Doulo, Entrepreneurs Associates, Hokheshe K. Zhimomi, Zhimomi Enterprise, Kiyehoto Sumi, Jordan Construction, Vechulou Kanuo, M/s Great Look Outs, Nymto Konyak, Wanchu Development Society.
