Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland demands 18 posts in H&TE be advertised

Drawing the attention of the department of higher and technical education (H&TE) with regard to non-advertisement and non-requisition of 18 various categories of posts under the department, Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) has urged the responsible department to advertise those posts.

In a letter to the director higher and technical education, the EUUN president Achilo Thong said the union had received a complaint that responsible department was not intending to requisite to the NPSC or advertise the categories of posts as per norms.

Requesting the department to ensure free and fair employment, EUUN asked the department to fill up the vacancies by fulfilling the norms of recruitment and not to entertain backdoor appointment.
On the other hand, the union cautioned that it will not remain a silent spectator if justice was not done in the matter of public employment.

An official letter, dated June 11, 2012, addressed to accountant general (AG), Nagaland from higher and technical department, which was made available to the media by EUUN, had conveyed to the AG the approval of state government to the creation of  18 various categories of posts for directorate T&HE, ICIT Mokokchung and government polytechnic Kohima.

The letter stated that it was issued with the clearance of P&AR department vide U.O No. 332 dated 8/11/2011 and finance department vide their RFC No.32/07 dated 30/01/2012 and approval of the cabinet vide O.M No. CAB-2/2008 (pt) dated 1/6/2012.
