In commemoration of NABARD’s foundation day, a one-day Financial Literacy Awareness Programme (FLAP) was conducted at Longjang village organized by care and support society in collaboration with Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd supported by NABARD on July 12 at the community hall.
Programme was chaired by managing director, Care and Support Society, Imchawati Kichu while inaugural/objectives of the programme was delivered by DDM, NABARD Mokokchung, S. Amarjit Mangang. He further highlighted about coping with distress i.e crop failures and various schemes viz conversion of loan, importance of income from supplementary activities like Diary, Sheep/Goat/Piggery rearing and importance of water conservation.
Assistant manager & in-charge FLC, NSCB Ltd, Mokokchung, Temsulepden shared the importance of banking, savings and financial planning. He further shared the benefits under PMJDY,PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY and PM Fasal Bima Yojana.
He also highlighted various loan products i.e KCC interest subvention and benefits of timely repayment. Imchawati Kichu shared the role of the NGO in the area and various activities done by them. The programme ended with vote of thanks by chairman, Longjang Village Council, Imtiangnen.
CWWS: Financial Literacy Awareness Programme (FLAP) supported under FIF managed by NABARD was conducted by Chakhesang Women Welfare Society (CWWS) with the Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd. Pfutsero Branch in coordination with NABARD district office, Phek on July 12, at K. Basa village.
During the programme, NABARD, DDM Imsunaro, highlighted about the objectives of the programme and discussed on importance of banking, savings, financial planning, credit linked, subsidy schemes, JLG etc.
Meanwhile, NStCB, ABM Luidi Zeliang, deliberated on banking products available and also shared on the benefits of PMJDY and various GOI pension/insurance schemes and loan products. Role of NGO was deliberated by CWSS, executive director Vechulo-u Kanuo. Altogether 80 participants attended the programme.
