Cong workers of 3 Dimapur III A/C resign en masse; join NPF

In a major development, Congress workers of 3 Dimapur III A/C have unanimously resolved to resign en masse and decided to join NPF party, in view of the “authoritarian and self-styled functioning” of the president DCC Dimapur and NPCC.
The resolution to this, was taken at an emergency meeting held November 23 at the residence of minister PHED, Tokheho Yepthomi, stated a statement issued by former president 3 Dimapur III ACCC, Wati Walling. It stated that such random suspension of party workers and appointment of unknown person to head the party in the constituency had clearly proved “detrimental” and against the welfare of the party, of which it have no desire to be part of.
At the meeting, attended by assembly constituency congress committee of 3 Dimapur III A/C, mahila and youth wing office bearers and party workers also adopted the following resolutions.
The signatory said, former ACCC office bearers and party workers of 3 Dimapur III A/C having resigned from the Congress party, unanimously decided to join the NPF party to strengthen the able leadership of NPF president, Dr. Shurhozelie, chief minister, T.R. Zeliang and MLA 3 Dimapur III A/C Tokheho Yepthomi. The workers have also pledged to render utmost sincerity and dedication to the NPF party which was not only “accommodative”, but encompasses the grassroots, the nerve-centre of the party.
They have also hailed wisdom and leadership of MLA and minister Tokheho Yepthomi and his team of colleagues for taking bold decision in merging with the NPF party in the interest of all round development and progress, the statement added.
