St Francis Xavier’s Church Kidima (SFXCK) with rest of the world observed “Christ the King of the Universe” feast with parish priest Kidima, Rev. Fr. Thomas Mutttathil as the main celebrant on November 22 at church premises.
Rev. Fr. Thomas Mutttathil in his speech said that the church was inviting the faithful people to accept Jesus Christ as the King of the Universe.
He highlighted the life of Jesus’ struggle for peoples’ salvation like his crucifixion. He said human being speak out abusive words and curse to others when faced with difficulties in life.
He challenged the people to follow the example of Apostle Peter who left everything behind to follow Jesus while Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus due to craze for money. Father urged for greater glory of God by being good to one another as dignified Christians.
Eucharist celebration, thanks giving with the harvest of the year’s crops, blessing with holy water to the faithful people followed by felicitation were the highlights of the daylong celebration of the liturgical feast.
Franciscan Sister of Saint Mary of the Angels and different faithful peoples from various parts of the country joined in the programme.
