Based upon high levels of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control under the following parameters like, hospital/facility upkeep, sanitation and hygiene, waste management, infection control, support services and hygiene promotion an award is given to the best district.
A press release by IEC Bureau, directorate of H&FW stated that Mon district has been declared as the best district hospital with a score of 80% and the award is cash of Rs. 50 lakhs.
It also stated that commendation certificate with a cash of Rs. 3 lakhs goes to IMDH Mokokchung for scoring 71.2%. Department of H&FW has thanked all the district hospitals for participating in the Kayakalp activity.
