ANPSTA Wokha not to remain silent on back door appointment

The All Nagaland Pre-Service Teacher Association (ANPSTA) Wokha Unit held a general meeting on August 8 at Pine Wood School and deliberated and resolved the association would keep on pressurizing the authority in-charge to revoke the retention and regularization of Bogus GTIPT with immediate effect.
The unit in a press release issued by its president Z. Libenthung Murry and general secretary Shanbeni Lotha revealed the association had pledged not to remain silent on the issue of back door appointment of untrained candidate at Wokha and demanded the authority in-charge to immediately revoke the approval letter Vide NO. EDS/PT-7/WKA/2010/306 Dated Kohima the 6th of August 2011 for appointment of untrained candidate at GPS Sanis Wokha.
The association also said it would stage shortly a sit in protest, against the authority for appointment of untrained and non Lotha PIT in Wokha district, along with the cooperation of KSU, Youth Association of Wokha District and WCSU.
With regard to conducting membership drive, the unit in the meeting decided to collect `600 from all pre service trained candidates from the Lotha community yet to submit the membership fee, adding those trained members who fail to submit the same would not be included in the association or allowed to appear any teacher recruitment exam in future as discussed with the concerned district department authority. Association further resolved to hold a general conference cum felicitation programme for those successful members of the recent teacher exam followed by election of new office bearers for the tenure 2011- 13 during Durga Puja holiday.
The association also decided to extend its ultimatum served to the authority for cancellation of the approval of untrained candidate since the minister in-charge has been out of station for the last 4 days, stated the release adding time and date of agitation shall be kept under abeyance till further decision.
