2nd “Vasundhara NE Woman Entrepreneur of the Year’ 2013-14 award instituted by Sreemanta Sankar Mission of Guwahati was held on September 19 2015 at IIM, Shillong.
Miss. T. Jemima Achumi, proprietor of M/s T.J. Foods, manufacturer of processed meat under the brand name of “JEMMEEZ” from Nagaland was conferred the Award on the occasion.
Chief General Manager, FMOD, Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai, M. Rajeshwar Rao was the chief guest who conferred the award during the annual management conclave of the IIM called EmergE 2015.
Other recipients of the Award included Lata Lepcha from Sikkim, Moirengthem Muktamani Devi from Manipur, Lalhimpuii Hmar (Lapuii) from Mizoram, Queency Thangkhiew from Meghalaya, Kanta Dey from Assam, Toko Likha Yaram from Aurunachal Pradesh and Sukla Rani Debbarma from Tripura.
They recipients were awarded cash prize, trophy, plaque, citation and an Eri Shawl.
The objective of the award, Manjit Kr. Sarma, member of Sreemanta Sankar Mission, Guwahati said, seeks to create a regional platform for woman entrepreneurs of North East and link them with different government and corporate agencies to fulfill their requirements for funds, technical and technological knowhow, marketing and other such factors.
