SAMETI holds trg for technical writing on print media

A three-day training programme on “technical writing on print media and success stories” was organized by State Agricultural Management and Training Institute (SAMETI) from June 17 to 19. 
The programme was aimed at improving the technical writing skills of the participants, comprised of ATMA functionaries from all districts. Director SAMETI, Nguzonyi Wetsah exhorted the participants to hone their skills towards writing standard farm publications and success stories which, in turn would serve as a record of the accomplishments achieved at the grassroots level for the government at both the state and central levels. 
He mentioned that it would also serve as a means of information dissemination for all levels of the farming community as well as the various institutions. Detailed theoretical and practical sessions on writing for farm publications, handling camera and photo shooting in indoor and outdoor locations, concept of news and tips in writing, concept of farm journalism and history of print media were disseminated by associate professors Dr. J. Longkumer, assistant professor Dr. N.K. Patra and audio visual specialist department of agricultural extension, N.U.SASRD Temjenmenba.
The director Nguzonyi Wetsah in his valedictory speech encouraged the trainees to work hard, sincere and dedicated towards upliftment of poor farmers’ economy by way of providing technical knowledge.
He also instructed all participants to start writing success stories of their respective district and submit the report along with newspaper clip to the undersigned as early as possible for further compilation to publish ATMA success story book.
The training programme concluded with distribution of certificates to the participants by director SAMETI and vote of thanks was delivered by DPD SAMETI Vikaho Chophi.
