Discovering the movement of UG cadres in general area Gate No.2, Moreh, troops of 29 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) launched operation in that area and apprehended one UNLF cadre on August 23.
The cadre was identified as No 3036 SS L/Cpl Luwangthem Jackson alias Umphaba Singh, 24 yrs, son of L Nabachandra Singh, of Yaripok Kak Mayai, Thoubal and was handed over to Imphal West Police Station.
