Dr Temsula pitches for dignity of labour

Skill training programme for unemployment youth of Nagaland, organised by Don Bosco tech was inaugurated at Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre (DBVTC), 3rd mile, here Wednesday by Nagaland women commission (NWC) chairperson Dr. Temsula Ao as chief guest.
Speaking at the inaugural function, NWC chairperson Dr. Temsula Ao emphasised on the concept of dignity of labour and self esteem and said when an individual accomplished the meanest task, one was adding dignity of labour and also setting an example to others.
She asserted that no matter how humble a job was, it was worth doing well, which would elevate to the next level of expertise.
Dr.Temsula Ao advised the trainees to inculcate the habits of self esteem within oneself by being disciplined, honest and sincere.
She also encouraged the trainees to acquire not just a certificate or a diploma, but a whole new perspective to face the world enhancing dimension of their personality. 
“There is no task that lies beneath anybody’s dignity, at the end the proof of its worth is how one execute the job,” she added.
Booklets relating to “Statutory rights of women” and “Ask my sister” published by Nagaland state commission for women was distributed among the participants   
Meanwhile, delivering a message, Tulovi village chairman Vikugha said government job alone was not an option and that there were many fields where an individual could strive and be successful.
He also encouraged the trainees to have a target to the end to have a brighter future. 
TVC chairman appealed to the parents of the trainees to extend support to the members of DBVTC and the trainees.
Exhorting the trainees, Father Sebastian said the Don Bosco tech has been training dropout students and youths especially from interior districts so they could stand on their own and live an independent life without being parasite in the society.
Brief report on Don Bosco (DB) Tech was delivered by Brother Sunny where he informed that 52 NGOs and religious organization were in partnership with DB Tech.
He pointed that in Nagaland the centre has trained 3,129 young people and placed 2, 467 of them in various companies. He maintained that 1026 companies have employed the trainees.
Bro Sunny also pointed out that this year the Don Bosco tech would be targeting 2500 young people to be trained in DB Tech Dimapur region comprising of Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and upper Assam.
Highlighting the programme, DBVTC trainee Lashika Zhimo shared his experience on behalf of the trainees, folk song and dances were also presented by the trainees. More than 60 including parents of the trainees attended the programme.
