BAN dismayed by unabated taxation

Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has expressed dismay at the “problem of unabated taxation”, which, it alleged, continued with “impunity and total disregard for the will of the people.”
In a press release, Media Cell, BAN said unabated taxation continued in spite of a clarion call from Naga people against multiple taxation and support for ACAUT’s “one government one tax”.
Reiterating its unflinching support to ACAUT’s stand, BAN appealed to all its members, entrepreneurs, suppliers and contractors of Nagaland not to give any tax until “Naga peoples aspiration of one tax one Government is achieved.”
Further, BAN requested the administration and the police to deal strictly against illegal taxation and extortions and bring the perpetrators to book under National Security Act (NSA).
