Dimapur District Disabled Persons Parents’ Association (DDDPA) conducted its 2nd phase of house to house identification of disabled persons on July 27 at Bade Dhansiripar.
Chairing the meeting Akum Ezung, DDDPA president urged parents and the disabled that all genuine grievances for disabilities would arrive under the provision of PWD’s Act and NT/National Trust act.
Ezung reminded the gathering that government of Nagaland has also taken a wise decision towards disability sector by developing a special cell headed by commissioners and secretaries for implementation of its rights and legitimacy.
Ezung appealed to extend co-operation with parents association to enable the association initiate in all related issues and mainstream for disabilities rights.
DDDPA expressed gratitude to its executive members and PINF CBR workers of Dhansiripar Area for extending co-operation to make the programme success.
