Dimapur Police, acting on a reliable input, raided a house located in Thahekhu village on October 17 and recovered one 9 MM pistol with magazine and two live ammunitions. The owner of the house identified as Victor Bashumatary (38), son of late Rotneshwari of Barpeta, Assam, was arrested for possession of the illegal arms.
Additional Superintendent of Police and PRO said a case was registered against the accused who has been remanded to police custody for further investigation. (Photo attached SBN PS C/No.048/14).
