Altogether 8 contestants including two wildcard entries are set to vie for the Naga Orpheus title during the Hornbill Music Festival on December 2. The semi final was held on November 8 at North East Zone Cultural Centre Park in Dimapur among 14 contestants where the bands were made to sing judges’ choice of songs along with the house band, Incipid.
On the occasion, the judges used wildcards and saved two contestants from being eliminated. The top 6 contestants who made to the finals are Albert N Hau, Limayanger, Kenei Sorhei, Marthel Jamir, Alemtemshi Imchen and Wangyat Wangsu. Nukshijungla Jamir and Kevikhonuo Mor are the two wild card entries.
This round was purely based on the judges’ choice of song according to the calibre of each contestant.
Although some contestants performed very well but their Naga Orpheus journey had to come to an end. It was an emotional moment for all the contestants since they had to part ways.
