The first joint consultation meeting of Pastor’s union Mokokchung town (PUMT) and Tuensang town Pastors union (TTPU) was held August 12 at Police Baptist Church (PBC), DEF Tuensang.
At the meeting, the unions emphasized on the responsibilities of the Church leaders over various social evils prevailing in the society at present.
They encouraged all the Church leaders to be like “salt and light” in order to fulfill the holistic mission. The two unions affirmed to voice their firm support towards the HIV and AIDS stigma. Both the unions resolved to extend full cooperation in eradicating various social evils such as alcoholism, rape, murder, prostitution etc that was prevailing in the society.
