The Zeme Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) felicitated meritorious and successful candidates of HSLC, HSSLC and graduates, along with Dr. Tumda Newme as the special guest and executive secretary ZBA (AMN), Rev. Sahingmak Newme July 10 at JTWWO Conference Hall, Jalukie Town.
A press release from ZSUN H.Q. Nsong said the program was chaired by joint secretary ZSUN, Peiningbe. In his opening remarks, the vice president, Amua Francis Pame welcomed the gathering and congratulated the meritorious students for their sincere hard work and dedication and also acknowledged the good turnout.
In his key note address, general secretary, Deichungbe Zeme also said that it was a moment of happiness and a triumph for the Zeme people and congratulated all the successful candidates. President NAFO, Kalak also exhorted the students to strive for greater achievements and said that students should take their studies seriously and encouraged them to be more attentive and become productive and qualitative leaders. Dr. Tumda Newme also congratulated the students and encouraged them to set goals and aims to become persons of merit. He asserted that nothing could be done without hard work and sincerity and called upon every student to be obedient, sincere and hardworking. He also pointed out that the students and youth were being driven by the internet and access to social media and said that they should be aware of the internet’s negative facets and prioritize their tasks. The vote of thanks was pronounced by social and cultural secretary, ZSUN, Kedirang Pame and light refreshments were served after the program.
