AMK building inaugurated in Kma

The new building of Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho (AMK), the apex body of Angami women organisation, was inaugurated in the state capital by Neiphiu Rio, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, as the chief guest on Wednesday.
Addressing the inaugural function, Rio said that women unity is higher today which makes better step towards the future. He said the timely completion of AMK Ki was an indication of unity and bonding of inner relationship among the Angami women even though as mothers they are busy working for 24×7 at home to served the family.
He said although the father is the head of the family, mother is the heart of the entire family who take the whole responsible equal to the father. Citing the important role of mothers, he said the tradition and culture in the society was maintained by the mothers. Rio suggested to hundred mothers of AMK to take initiative in cleanliness drive in the state capital and also inspect various public places in and around. He said sanitation is one of the most important factors to lead a healthy life.
Earlier, the function was chaired by Salhoutuonuo Kruse, president AMK, while the invocation prayer was said by Dr. Atsi Dolie, Executive Director, ABCC. Detail report of the AMK building reports was presented by Theyietuonuo Rutsa, convenor Building Committee, and special numbers were presented by Kewhimiapfü Mechü khrotho, Southern Angami Women Organisation and Keneisedenuo Zatsu. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Marlyn Sale, Advisor, AMK.
