Nagaland chief minister T.R. Zeliang has expressed shock and grief at the untimely demise of Gopinath Munde, Union Minster of Rural Development, who died in a car accident in New Delhi June 3. He was 64. In a condolence to Mrs. Munde, state chief minister said Gopinath Munde was a grassroots leader, who rose to become one of the tallest leaders in the county, adding his death was a great loss to the nation. Chief minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
C.L. John: Minister for RD and REPA, C.L. John has expressed sadness over the death of G. Munde. He said the untimely death was a great loss to the nation and the NDA government at the centre. In a condolence message, John said Munde will be remembered forever for his valuable services rendered to the people of Maharashtra and India. He also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
