Bosco B. Ed. College, Dimapur celebrated the 12th foundation day on March 18 at the college auditorium, with proprietor and managing director, NN Constructions and Décor, Dimapur, Nibu Nagi as the chief guest.
At the outset of the programme, Fr. Sabu, the principal of the college, welcomed everyone to the college while Nibu Nagi emphasized upon the need to impart quality education to the society.
He said that the teachers are highly respected in the society and they should do justice to their duties as teachers and called upon all the teachers to be more sincere and committed in their profession, and help build up a more honest and progressive society. Nagi also exhorted all the teachers to be more hard working, dedicated and honest in their profession. Guest of honour, vice provincial of Salesian Province of Dimapur Fr. Bosco exhorted all the teachers to acquire as much knowledge as possible for serving the student community better. He also called upon the teachers to develop communication skills so as to be more effective in their profession and to become lighted candles in order to dispel the darkness of this world and to enlighten it.
Rector of B. Ed. College Fr. T.C. Joseph exhorted the gathering to develop the quality of “other oriendtedness” in order to experience true fulfillment and happiness in life. A teacher’s life is directly and visibly an ‘other oriented’ life as the teacher works for the betterment and welfare of the students, he added. The programme was a colourful and enthralling as the B. Ed. Students put up a wide variety of well-prepared items. Everyone was in praise of the students for their hard work and acknowledged their talents and caliber in making the whole programme an enjoyable one. The programme came to a close with refreshment.
