Reacting to news item “Auto drivers not to collect daily tax”, published dated March 19, 2014, the Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) has clarified to its bona fide members that the “so called general meeting of all auto drivers” under Dimapur district purportedly convened by Hokhuvi Aye had “no force and binding upon its bona fide members.”
In a press release, DDADU president K.Hokaito Zhimomi and general secretary Obeka Tuccu also clarified that “self styled president Hokhuvi Aye” was not even a bona fide member of the union.
DDADU stated that any decision arrived at the meeting was “misleading and fraud” and cautioned its bona fide members to be aware of such “decisions from unofficial body.”
The union also cautioned Hokhuvi Aye from indulging in “illegal activities” and to refrain from such act in future.
Meanwhile, DDADU has appealed to both the administration and competent authority “not to entertain and recognize any sort of bogus claims like the instant case of All Auto Drivers Union Dimapur, since there cannot exist two legal entity under the same banner, name and style.”
