Peducha village warns on garbage dumping

Peducha village the recipient of national award Nirmal Gram Puraskar (NGP) for Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC in the year 2009 under Communication and Capacity Development Unit (CCDU) PHED is still claims to be one of the “cleanest village” under Western Angami area under Kohima district.
According to village chairman Thepfüyiengu Vielie the village is still “very much” concerned to promote “good hygienic practices and access to proper sanitary practices”. However, recently the chairman said that some “trucks and Tata mobile are dumping garbage’s at Peducha village NH.29 from neighboring and state capital without any information to the village authority.”
Keeping this in view, the village chairman has that anyone found damping garbage’s in the village jurisdiction would face consequences without any warning or that the council may impose a huge amount of cash to clean up the whole village area. The chairman also added that the particular vehicles dumping garbage in the village area would be seized for violating the village guidelines.
