Fifty three NSS volunteers along with two programme officers and four faculty members of Sazolie College, Jotsoma visited Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KHOD) as part of the NSS regular activities, Saturday.
The NSS volunteers had a brief interaction with the children and the mother followed by certain activities of games and helping the children by doing different household chores. The visit ended with light refreshment. The team also donated an amount of Rs. 12,000 and several items.
Further, the programme officer, NSS Cell, Sazolie College has thanked all the voluntary donators for their valuable contribution towards the success of the event.
Meanwhile, students of Sazolie College, Jotsoma, were awarded certificates on completion of a three-month computer course, “SWIFT INDIA V2-WOW (SWIW)”, offered by the College in collaboration with NIIT, Kohima on March 13. Altogether 112 students of BA Semester II completed the course.
The certificates were given away at a function held in the college by Group Leader, NIIT, Kohima Imtitoshi Kujur.
Principal of the college Dr. Kangzangding Thou delivered a speech and a special prayer of thanksgiving was offered by College Chaplain Nzanthang Kikon. The programme was chaired by the Academic Dean of the college Moi.
