Reviewing the last meeting minutes concerning immediate clearance of landslide from Chouzuba-Phek road, the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Phek has requested the responsible department to clear landslide and restore the road immediately.
DPDB meeting was held September 10 in the conference hall under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner and DPDB Phek vice chairman, Neposo Theluo, stated a DIPR report.
At the meeting, financial assistance towards ANCSU conference at Phek Government College was also discussed at length, where the chairman appealed all head of offices to extend financial support to the student community to organize the conference successfully.
The board also discussed improvement in telecommunication (BSNL) network in Phek and bus services from Phek Hq to other sub-divisions.
Further, as entrusted by the board in the last meeting, agriculture and horticulture departments presented their departmental activities.
The house was impressed over the successful story of developmental plans and performance of the respective departments and further encouraged them to give more efforts for the upliftment of the people.
The department of labour also distributed a pamphlet regarding Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) scheme, where the objective of the scheme is to improve access to health care and protect the beneficiary families from the catastrophic (disastrous) expenditure on health.
Earlier, the chairman welcomed all the members and urged them extend cooperation and best services as entrusted in different work distributions in view of governor’s visit to Phek district.
