Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) was conducted by KVK, Longleng, at Yongam village on February 6 for future planning of agricultural and allied activities of the village.
It was conducted for identifying the thrust areas of agriculture, horticulture and animal resources in the village and mobilizing the farmers to adopt the new technology for livelihood development. During the PRA, village map, resource map, “venn diagram”, water resource map and labour engagements in agricultural operation was done by the participants.
Village history, educational and economic status and baseline information were collected by questionnaire methods.
Altogether 25 farmers actively participated in the day long programme including KVK Longleng officials.
The village was represented by the council chairman and members, church members, women SHG members and progressive farmers.
