FPO visits orphanage and destitute homes

In commemoration of the 50th years golden jubilee of Nagaland statehood-cum-Hornbill festival, Farmer’s Producer Organization (FPO) chairman, Chozukhwu Nyekha along with members visited orphanage/destitute homes and distributed fruits and vegetables on December 5. According to Farmer’s Producer Organization secretary, the team visited Ebenezer Home, Love Care Home, Mother Teresa, Sharon Home of Hope, Prodigals short stay home, Wondangki, Mother’s Hope, St. Joseph home, Rev Longsa memorial home and Nagaland children’s home.
It may be noted that around 569 members of Farmer’s Producer Organization (FPO) Dimapur comprising of 54 Farmer Interest Group (FIG’s) have been receiving seeds/tools and equipments for farming and horticultural crops from the department of horticulture. FPO focus to build a prosperous and sustainable agriculture sector by promoting and supporting  member-owned producer organisations, which enable farmers to enhance productivity through efficient, cost-effective and sustainable resource use.
