The Asukiqa Area Joint Council (AAJC) under Zunheboto district, comprising of five villages has appealed the Nagaland State Transport (NST) for bus service from Kohima to Asukiqa.
A press release from AAJC chairman, Khuwoto Swu and secretary, Asheto Achumi stated that, NST bus service was inaugurated by former Transport minister P Dakho Phom on January 22, 2012 but was discontinued since November 2017.
The AAJC has in this regard, appealed the concerned department to allot a new bus in good condition as the previous one was not.
It also requested that safety and comfort of the passengers and public be taken into consideration with necessary action at the earliest.
