MVC bans wild/exotic animal trade: Medziphema Village Council (MVC) has banned sale of wild/exotic animals within its jurisdiction and anyone found doing so will be dealt with strictly as per the existing law of the land. MVC further reminded the public that the ban on hunting, fishing and other similar activities were still in force within its jurisdiction.
LSUN general meeting: Liangmai Students’ Union Nagaland (LSUN) has convened its general meeting for September 14, 6 p.m. at Azailong village, Peren district. All the students’ unions of Liangmai villages have been requested to attend the meeting with five representatives each.
RMSA one act play/skit competition: RMSA Nagaland will be organising a one act play/skit competition on Gandhian values to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on September 11, 10 a.m. at the auditorium of T.M. Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima. State mission director RMSA, Limawabang Aier, will be the main speaker at the inaugural program.

ANSWFSEA general meeting: All Nagaland Social Welfare Staff Employees Association (ANSWFSEA) has convened its general on September 14, 11:30 a.m. at IMC hall, Dimapur. All the members have been requested to attend the meeting.
RRUD new office bearers: Ralan Range Union Dimapur (RRUD) during its general meeting held on September 5 at Lotha Hoho Ki, Dimapur elected its new team of office bearers for the tenure 2018 to 2020. The new team is led by Mhonyamo Ngullie as president, Renpen Tungoe as a general secretary along with ten other members.
Kohima district teachers’ awards: District education officer Kohima will organize a Kohima District Teachers’ Award Ceremony on September 13, 10:30 am at conference hall of DC Kohima with retired director school education Nagaland V. Meyase as the special guest.
District level youth parliament competition for Phek district: The District Level Parliamentary Quiz and Youth Parliament Competition for Phek district, under the aegis of the department of Parliamentary Affairs, Nagaland, will be held on September 15 at Government Higher Secondary School, Pfutsero. Kelhikha Kenye, Phek District coordinator has invited all Higher Secondary Schools (Government and Private) under Phek district to depute four students from class 11 along with one teacher in-charge for the competition.
AHoDs & HoDs meeting on September 12: A meeting of all Administrative Heads of Department (AHoDs) and Head of Departments (HoDs) will be held on September 12 at 2 pm in the Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima. All AHoDs and HoDs have been informed to make it convenient and attend the meeting without fail as per the directions of the chief secretary of Nagaland, R. Benchilo Thong. (DIPR)
