The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of Kohima Law College (KLC) conducted a debate competition under the theme, “Developing young leaders of our society” in the college premises on September 19.
A press release from KLC media cell stated that the topics were “Is section 377 of Indian Penal Code a boon or a curse for the Nagas?”; “Has Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act, 1989 led to any positive behavioural and social change?” and “Is there stigma and discrimination prevailing in our Naga society with regard to HIV-AIDS?”
LLB V semester, III semester and I semester, respectively, debated the above topics. The judges were assistant professor Kezhokhoto Savi and assistant professor Moasenla.
The cash prizes were given away by the nodal officer and assistant professor, Soni Tep.
