
Salesian College, Dimapur held a Youth Meet at its college premises on Sunday. The program commenced with an inaugural ceremony followed by the Holy Eucharist and animation in groups of English, Hindi and Rongmei by residential students.
A press release by the youth director of Salesian College, Fr. Christudoss A, stated that the holy mass was presided over by counsellor of St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama, Rev. Fr. C. Joseph, who in his homily urged the youth to give their time and talents to society as Jesus did.
In the second session, the chief guest, senior depot manager, Indian Oil Corporation, Dimapur, Mudang Tacho, encouraged the youth to shine, dispel the darkness around them and be useful to society.
Guest of honour, counselor of St. Joseph’s college, Jakhama, Rev. Fr. C. Joseph, also exhorted the youth to be lights, showing everyone the path.
The program was interspersed with colourful cultural and prayer dances presented by different youth centres from across Dimapur. Around 650 youth came to the campus to participate in the program.
