Descendants and kin of Kiyevi and the GBs of Kiyevi village have demanded unconditional public apology within 15 days from the chairman and Head GB of Lamhai village for “their defamatory, libelous and slanderous statements made in the local dailies in regard to the establishment and land ownership of Kiyevi village.”
In statement, Head GB of Kiyevi village, Y. Botovi Zhimo said that the statements made by Haibanko, chairman Lamhai Village Council and Amezi, Head GB Lamhai Village were completely derogatory and has defamed not only the living descendants and kin of Kiyevi but also insulted the elders and pioneers of Kiyevi village who sacrificed everything for the village.
