In the cultural entertainment, the Japfu Cultural troupe from Angami tribe performed the "Thenyi-Nashü" (festival dance), it is a dance performed by men folks during major festivals like Sekrenyi on certain occasions including Gate pulling and Jubilee celebrations. The women folks also follow the performance with food items during Thenyi-Nashü of the community feast; Phita-Nashü " (stepping dance) is a dance performed by young people showcasing their skills among their age groups and community; "OzhieOngu" (Warrior attires") is a dance performed by elderly persons to protect the younger warriors from enemies while dancing or working in the fields.
Changsang Dombu Edou performed by Chang tribe called "Shangpeli Folk song", conveys a message of the jubilation along with the Nagas of peace loving people gifted with wisdom and to let the leaders of Naga be united to eradicate all problems.
"Ngada" Folk dance, performed by Rengma cultural troupe. This festival depicts, where the rich and poor share with each other without any distinction.
Warrior folk dance performed by Surumi cultural troupe, Kohima from Sumi community signifies the glory and heroic deeds of forefathers. The warrior dance depicts the fearful moves of slaying enemies practice during the hunting days and wars and also to induce fear in the mind of the enemies and to celebrate happiness and God’s abundant blessings.
The Nagaland Adolescents Girls club (NAGC), also performed dance on the theme ‘BetiBachao, ‘BetiPadhao’ and a pipe band display by the pipe band of the club. (DIPR)
