Lady Gaga has done a couple of roles in film and tv, everything from ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ and ‘American Horror Story’. Now she’s chosen to star in a film with co-star and director Bradley Cooper, ‘A Star is Born’.
The film follows Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) a star musician who over the years has lost his way and found alcoholism. One day he meets Ally (Lady Gaga), a cover artist with an amazing voice who’s been told she’s not pretty enough for stardom. Jackson thinks differently and takes her under his wing and tries to turn her into a star while recovering himself and fall in love.
With this being Gaga’s first starring role and Cooper not only co-starring but also directing, we didn’t really know what could come from it. Well, critics raved about it at the Toronto International Film Festival, and it currently sits at a 95% fresh rating on rotten tomatoes. In the above interview, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga discuss their characters and why they are similar or different, and Gaga praises Bradley’s trust and directing style.
‘A Star is Born’ releases October 5, 2018.
