Angami Youth Organization (AYO) has acknowledged the timely action taken by the government in constructing the roads in the capital city of Nagaland and the quality works by various contractors who have shaped Kohima roads.
A press release from AYO president, Neinguvotuo Krose and general secretary, Kekhrie Pfukha also urged the government to monitor and advise the contractors to maintain their areas of construction according to the specified guaranteed period.
AYO also appealed to all citizens of Kohima to responsibly utilize the facilities made and to get involved in building up Kohima city by contributing a respectable and responsible lifestyle.
AYO pointed out some areas of concerns such as irresponsible parking, throwing out waste in running cars, wherein drivers of both public and private transport are advised to use car bin to dispose their waste inside the car and later dump it at the appropriately designated place.
AYO also cautioned on improper blocking of roads with building materials, releasing septic tanks without proper procedures, dumping waste in the rivulets etc.
