Department of power has informed that SAP electricity billing system was under shutdown for an estimated 96 hours at a stretch with effect from 7am of November 9, 2019 due to urgent server and enterprise storage and up-gradation works required at Data Centre Guwahati. In a press release, chief engineer distribution & revenue Indianoba Tally said the shutdown would disable the billing, online payment and collection, viewing of bills in portal, spot billing; new service connection and all on-line related activities till 7 am of November 13, 2019.
