     DC Mon notifies on lockdown, ePass: Deputy commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K notified that in view of the impending arrival of the stranded persons from different parts of the country, there will be a total lockdown on June 9 in Tizit sub-division. Movement of public will be strictly prohibited except on medical emergencies, all shops except pharmacies will remain closed, movement of private vehicles will be strictly prohibited. All central/state government offices will be exempted from the purview of the order. Any person found violating will be penalised under relevant provisions of the law. DC in another order has notified to all general public that the Mokha Nullah Bridge located around 24 kms from Longching between Jakphang and Ukha villages has been partially damaged due to land sinkage. For the safety of all, plying of heavy vehicles over the bridge is strictly restricted with immediate effect, till restoration work is completed. DC also notified that in order to simplify the process of availing movement pass within the district, all citizens of Mon district are informed that they can apply for special movement pass (ePass) by following the procedure: Go to the website ‘https://bit.ly/monepass’; Fill the form on the webpage: Name, mobile no, purpose of travel, age, sex, identity type/card, select the origin sub-division/circle, present address, select the destination sub-division/circle, destination address, date of travel, vehicle registration no., type of vehicle, etc; Once your application is submitted, you will receive an SMS; On approval or rejection of your application, you will receive another SMS with a link to download the ePass; Download the generated ePass and carry it with you while you move out.Travel via Assam is prohibited.

    DC Peren orders promulgation of Sec. 144 of CrPC: Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Sentiwapang Aier has issued an order on June 7, for promulgation of Sec.144 of CrPC in the whole of Peren district, prohibiting the assembly of five (5) or more persons and movement of individuals between 5 p.m to 6 a.m except for exempted categories.  Violation of the aforementioned order will invite penalties under Sec.188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
