
Shops to remain closed on poll day at Kohima: Deputy commissioner and district election officer Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab A has notified that all the shops/business establishments and government offices under the 14th Southern Angami-l assembly constituency and all shops/business establishments within Kohima Municipal Area have been directed to remain closed on the poll day November 3 from 4 a.m to 7 p.m. Paid holiday shall be granted to all employees from the area of the constituency including the electors outside the constituency to enable them to participate and exercise their universal adult franchise. This order shall not apply to electors whose absence may cause danger or substantial loss in respect of the employment in which he/she is engaged. Failure to comply with this order shall invite legal actions as per relevant sections of the law under Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Tuensang DPDB meeting: Tuensang district planning & development board (DPDB) meeting has been scheduled on November 6, 11 a.m at deputy commissioner conference hall. All the DPDB members have been requested to follow the COVID-19 SOP and attend the meeting.
