Gorkha community of Dimapur held its general meeting on February 22, at the residence of Dimapur Gorkha Union (DGU) chairman Kumar Subha.
The meeting was held focusing on the agenda of Inner Line Permit (ILP), where the chairman highlighted the contribution of Gorkhas towards the Nagas in particular. In his presentation, he also said that “Gorkhas are true friends of the Nagas” and also highlighted the contributions of various Gorkha pioneers who have contributed for the cause of the Nagas and were involved in the Naga movement.
Various special invitees also spoke during the programme mentioning about the effects on the implementation of ILP towards the community in particular.
Altogether, more than 160 members of the community attended the meeting including pastors, concerned citizens and Gorkha Students Union Dimapur (GSUD).
