Zhekiye Village Students’ Union (ZVSU) has outrightly condemned the unlawful and arbitrary act of Assam Police on the night of April 4, which cost the life of Viloto Zhimo son of Khehuto Zhimo of Zekiye village.
In a condemnation issued by ZVSU president, president stated that the ZVSU strongly refuted the story planted by the Assam Police that the deceased was killed during exchange of gunfire. The union said that it is in the record of everyone that the victim was an educated unemployed youth who had recently completed his M. Com. from Guwahati University and has no record of any crime in the past.
The ZVSU considered the acts of the Assam Police as “inhumane” and “intolerable”. The union expressed deep concern and anguish on the loss of precious life of the innocent youth and further demanded high level probe into the incident and ensure that justice is delivered to the victim at the earliest. The ZVSU also conveyed its deep sympathies to the bereaved family members.
