A mentally deranged person reportedly killed his mother at Pungro town early Sunday. According to reports, the son suddenly attacked his mother with knife, stabbing her in the chest multiple times. The fatally injured woman was rushed to nearby hospital but later succumbed to injuries. The son, in his late 30s, was said to be mentally deranged for some years now. Soon after the incident, the son was arrested and taken into custody by Pungro police.
